Turn on the weather channel if you have a chance and check out pictures of Denver. Then imagine a man walking through all that in a trench coat and loafers. No hat, no boots, no sense of how to handle snow. That would be me. Thank god the rental car came with an ice scrapper and the other IBMer here knew how to drive in snow. Blizzard it is the crazy.
Melissa and I found a place in New Orleans that we really love. It's a two bedroom one bath first floor of this little house just off Magazine on State Street. Good stuff. It even has off street parking in the back. It's smaller than the house, obviously, so fitting stuff will be tricky, but we have most of it worked out. It's a little far from the normal uptown parade routes, but it's perfect for stuff to do on Magazine. I guess we'll be testing out my walk to places theory. Anyway, we close on the 14th and move on the 16th. It should be an interesting two weeks between now and then.
